Meet Mekenzie
Your Event Starts With a Conversation
As Peninsula Prime’s Event Coordinator, Mekenzie helps guests turn an idea into an event that feels personal, memorable and surprisingly easy to host.
Sometimes that idea is nothing more than…
“I’d like to do something special.”
Whether you’re planning a rehearsal dinner, company event, milestone celebration, executive dinner, client gathering or an intimate dinner with family and friends, Mekenzie starts in the same place:
Listening...
“That’s the fun part, figuring it out together.”
Experience Meets a Personal Touch
Mekenzie brings more than 15 years of event experience to Peninsula Prime. She began her career coordinating events at a 13,000-square-foot special events venue in Charlotte and worked her way through roles as lead coordinator, event manager and event director.
She has planned large, complex events with countless moving parts. But over the years, she realized that what she enjoyed most wasn’t necessarily the size of the event.
It was the connection with the people behind it.
That is part of what attracted her to Peninsula Prime. Here, Mekenzie can sit down with a host, understand what they are trying to create and remain personally involved as the celebration takes shape.
“I like the more intimate, personal touch.”
More Than Serving an Event
For Mekenzie, there is a meaningful difference between serving an event and hosting one.
Serving means delivering the food.
Hosting means thinking about the entire experience.
It means anticipating needs, creating the right atmosphere, making guests feel welcome and giving the host confidence that someone is paying attention.
That’s also why Mekenzie felt such a strong connection with Jim and Robin Gordon’s philosophy at Peninsula Prime. She saw a restaurant that wasn’t simply talking about hospitality and inclusion—it was acting on those values.
Mekenzie is proud to be part of the Peninsula Prime team and is ready to help you discover the possibilities that come with hosting an event at Peninsula Prime.
